No news is good news...

I have no new "major" news to share this week. It has been a pretty normal, slow week...which I am thankful for after having a series of busy weeks and weekends. I am feeling wonderful and I just feel so blessed to be having such an enjoyable pregnancy. My backaches have decreased a lot, which has been a wonderful relief. I am beginning to feel some Braxton Hicks contractions (I think), but I am not sure because I don't really know what I am looking for. Throughout the day I will get a really tight sensation in my stomach and my stomach will have a rock hard area. It lasts for about 2 minutes and then goes away. This is on my list of questions to ask the doctor next Friday. At first Aaron and I thought it was just Parker pushing his butt up against me, but the more research I did on it, the more it's sounding like Braxton Hicks. My body is hopefully in practicing mode...

On Tuesday I officially turned in my leave of absence forms and spoke with my principal about not returning to teaching next year. That has been a huge source of stress and worry for me over the past few months...one that has now been lifted. I am so excited to be starting my new journey as a mom, but also sad to be leaving teaching. I know it will all be worth it once I stare into those baby blues...

My first baby shower is next Saturday and I am so excited!! My sister is throwing the shower here in Apex and my family is coming in from Charlotte and New York. Many of my friends are going to be able to help me celebrate next weekend and it's really going to make things real! It seems like yesterday I was having my bridal showers (which has really been 4 years ago). Time flies...

Aaron and I are also getting a 3-D/4-D ultrasound done next Thursday to see what Parker looks like. I'm so excited to see our angel and catch a glimpse at some of his features. I will post pictures after the appointment. I am hoping he cooperates by showing his sweet face and being active for his mommy and daddy. This is one time where I will gladly encourage him to show off ;) Maybe a candy bar or some mountain dew before the appointment will encourage him...

I am going to try and do weekly pictures from here until the end of pregnancy. I will leave you with a picture of me and Parker at 31 weeks.
