Dear Lil Chapps,
Today is a big day for your Mommy and Daddy. We get to see you for the first time. We have our first ultrasound scheduled at 12:30 today, the day before Thanksgiving. It was exactly one month ago when your Daddy and I found out that we had created a little angel. We have both been so excited and we love you already. I still feel like I am playing house a little bit, but I think after we see you today, it is going to be very real. You are about the size of a walnut, but you have already formed your heart, brain, eyes, hands, legs, spine, kidneys, etc. You are so tiny, but your heart has already begun beating. Daddy and I are constantly amazed at the miracle of the growth of a child. The way you are forming is a miracle from God that cannot be described. You are growing like crazy, and I am beginning to feel the affects of your growth.
It has been so hard not to share the excitement of you with our family and friends. Tomorrow, on Thanksgiving, we get to tell your family about you! They are going to be so overwhelmed with joy and happiness. We are going to try to videotape the event so that we can show you one day how much you were loved at the very beginning of your life. This is a moment that we all have been waiting for. We are going to give each member of your new family a card with their new “title.” So your grandmas will be getting a grandma Thanksgiving card, etc. I think everyone will be shocked!
We pray for you every night. Daddy lays his head on my tummy every night and rubs you and prays for you and our family. He tells me that is how he is able to feel close to you. You have overwhelmed our thoughts this past month and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It is going to be hard to wait 7 more months to meet you, but we know that God is working on you every day to make you the child He wants you to be.
”For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11
We love you Lil Chapps!
